2002 saxo vts gearbox bul shet, is the garage conning me?

   well i got the car to the garage yesterday before they shut and the guy put his hand down the back and said yes the linkage is broken!
   but today he rang to say that the linkage into the gearbox is broken and that he can't get to it without removing the gearbox! but he was wiggleing the rod from the outside of the car? is the rod into the gearbox only accessable from inside the gear box? funny how i could find most gears except reverse.

   Thier accessible easy enough from under the car and they dont go into the box at all.. Get him to show you exactly what hes going on about mate before paying a penny

   get a second opinion even if its an AA man as they are independent(opinion)

   bullshit. Jack the car up passenger side and you will see the linkages.

   I replaced the linkages from above, just by removing the airbox for access. Didn't fix my problem tho right enough (still jumps out of reverse)
