This Link should help, the first post has the picture of the grommet from the interior of the car, he has the dash out in the picture, but if you get on your knees and look up under the dash you'll see it quite easily.
If you want to route the wire to the battery, push it through from the interior to the engine bay and route it round the back of the brake servo.
