Vtr revving itself when hot?

title explains it really.. Ive tried:

    ICV
    Coolant sensor
    Map Sensor
    Crank sensor

It only does it when hot, when car is 1st started up its fine.. Im really confused about this don't know what else it could be?

It has got to be coolant temp sensor, goes in the thermostat housing(green plug).

Ive replaced it for a new one and still doing it, could it possibly be a vacuum pipe problem?

    idle control valve?
sometimes after doing a motorway journey and coming to a stop, my rev counter on my vtr bounces... its annoying, but unless something goes wrong, im not paying to fix it lol

I have changed the idle control valve which kinda helped for a bit but I think its something more than that. Sometimes the car will just keep climbing revs and the only way to stop it is to turn the car off and restart it.

Check your vacuum pipes for a split,it could be sucking in air.Coil packs that are faulty can act up when hot too.

Still having this problem and its definately only when hot, doesnt matter if its the engine thats hot or if its just a really hot day, If its a cool day it won't start doing it until the engines warmed up and I sit in traffic or whatever, if its a hot day it will just do it as soon as the cars started up. I've checked the vacuum pipes allover and I can't find anything wrong with it. Is there any way of checking the coil pack without replacing it as this is getting expensive now lol does any1 have any other ideas its driving me up the wall!

proberbly a complete long shot but i once bought a new sensor for my saxo it was a temperature sensor and that didnt work either so i bought another new part and it worked so it could still be your coolant sensor.

I have had a look at the pipes on the inlet and can't see any visible signs of a leak, is there a better way of checking it? I tried listening for a leak but to be honest can't really hear alot when the engines running lol. was wondering aswell, with the coolant temp sensor does the ecu need to be reset or anything or should it just cure the problem by swapping it if its that? just a thought

finally getting to the bottom of this can hear a slight leak when idling like its sucking air but can't find where exactly, it must be opening up more when the car is hot, well thats my thinking anyways so gonna get some carb cleaner/brake cleaner tommorrow and try find the leak
