An air filter question?

   My mate has offered me a pipercross air filter for £30. He had a 1.6 saxo but I have only got a 1.1. Does anyone know if this will make a difference. Also can i just put the air filter on or do i need an induction kit to :/

   his was a 51 mk2....and mine is a 1997 mk1

   it will fit on mate but it wont make any difference other than the induction sound to see bhp increases you need a closed cold air feed if anything open cone filters will sap power as the air they intake will be warmer than that of the standard feed

   Unlikly to fit as an early mk1 1.1 will be single point injection & a late mk2 vtr is multipoint injection!
