My steering is really stiff and battery light is on ?

   Hi i went out to my car this morning only to find the battery light on and sterring was plyin up i guess ive lost power steering. I had this problem before and the part that connects the power steering and battery was corroded away so this guy crimped it back. I looked to see if tht was the problem again but the connection looks ok but maybe it isnt. Im really stuck my car was fine yesterday now today battery light on and steering messing up. Can anyone help

   sounds like alternator is playing up, power steering is the first system to suffer

   could be the alternator failing mate.

   Yeah battery light comes on
   When my alternator was dying I would get no power steering no heaters and no rear demister

   ok just bin to check and i get no heaters or demister either. So does that mean its pretty much defently the alternator

   You could try the fix look up heater demister pas guide in the stickies mate.If that fails then get the alternator tested.

   I reckon its the alternator too, when mine started getting a bit knackered the power steering played up. Definatly worth getting it tested asap i'd say.

   the eyelet that holds the alternator wire on normally coorodes... if your pas one already has ill bet thats your prob, if not itll be the alternator itself
