strange rattle from the exhaust

   when i started my car the other day it made a really strange rattle its now driving me nuts cause its starting to happen all the time maybe a heat shield rubbing on the exhaust?
   
   any one else had a problem similar to this

   When moving, or just idling?
   If idling, have a look under for anything, and move the exhaust to see if you can feel it hitting something

   Jack the car up and get under it
   Get someone else to rev it and see if you can see the exhaust vibrating on anything

   Do you get a rattle like gravel rattling in a tin can when you put your foot down?If so could be the CAT is breaking up.

   what had happened was the heat shield on the cat had come loose and now i have wedged a piece of copper down it walla its fixed
