Clutch?

Not a major thing but it's really annoying me.
When I accelerate hard it seems to struggle between gears. For example accelerating up to 3000 revs in second then I change to third, you can hear the car trying to catch up to that in third gear. On the rev dial the needle will stay at 3000 and then drop after it's been through the little struggle, sort of cross revving. Hard to explain any ideas? Thanks

Thanks guys. So looks like fitting a clutch would just solve the problem, it is abit stiff actually.

Either clutch lining worn in that case fit new clutch kit including release bearing while your at it or alternatively th eclutch cabl emay be far to tight hence not allowing the clutch to fully engage causing slip. if your biting point is right at the top of the pedal then this could be the reason; however, i think it is just worn and needs replacing to be fair.

I agree I should look at the cable first really before I buy a new clutch, especially as it's only done 62,000 miles.

For the sack of £15 for the clutch cable might be worth swapping it just to see if it improves? Im sure a garage could diagnose it though

Dont mind my bad spelling haha "sake" not "sack"

That's right but would rather do it myself, only thing I've ever had a garage do is Mot lol

    That sounds like definate clutch

I was going to suggest that i could fit you one for £190 fully fitted but then i saw your comment about doing things yourself.
