engine trying to cut out arghh

   ive got a problem before and it still dose if you start the car up and then go to drive the second you go to put ur foot down a little on the first bit of road the engine seems to just die and then it just picks up and gose again after nearly stopping
   and now it seems to be doing it when im driving once its warm was doing 70mph down the duel caridgeway and then it just dies for about 4 seconds and starts again whats going on ?
   
   ( it done it in my vts and now dose it with the engine in another car )

   I cant say much for Saxo's, but I used to have a Pug 306 and that cut out. I would be driving along and then it would jusy suddenly happen, not great when you loose power steering aswell
   
   Fixed it in the end with a £5 map sensor from a breakers yard....after spending about £250 on coilpacks, idle control valves, stepper motors and many other things.
   
   If you get no other replies, have a search around the web, its quite a common thing.

   thanks its weird it never actually cuts out ive never had to try and restart it it just trys to die now and then
