Was traveling along, when suddenly my temp started rising very quickly, and the red light came o, so pulled over and steam was coming out, I can't remember if water was everywhere before I took the cap off the radiator or after, but I think it was before, I kept filling it up and it kept going down , but for some reason its holding water, but there's always a burning smell from somewhere, and I couldn't see where all the water was going when it kept going down, no leaks I could see

is the burning smell sickly sweet? Cos coolant boiling off smells like that. If you can smell that all the time, youve got a leak.
