rear axle rattle?

Well when i go over bumps my rear axle is rattling, ive checked for play, and theres nothing, ive check the ARB and end plates, and tightened the 13mm bolts that scrure it (and WD-40 them), and still the problem persists, i have jamex uprated dampers on the axle, and they arnt leaking.
Ive checked to see if the stone gards around the disks are loose and they arnt, im out of ideas guys :s

Its a 98' plate vts, lowered 60mm. only started recently.

    Thanks

Only thing you didnt say you checked were the damper retaining bolts. I had a loose one due to a washer missing before and the rattle was horrendous.

mine does the same, always has. originally it was the ARB plate, got the bolt out, re-tapped it, new bolt in, but it still rattles, its defo the ARB. going to get it all off and have a proper look next week, check both ends of the ARB plate mate

nar thats not whats rattleing, its only a ball bearing inside, and its metal on metal, not metal on plastic, and its louder than the noise that makes lol thanks though

Not the spare wheel cage? Mine was loose and had it welded back to secure it and its fine now.
