Important! : Diesel saxo wont start! help??

    Basically im now stuck in france, and the engine will not start. The glowplug sign goes out and ive tried to start it. It just continuely starts kicking out fumes and making the noise just before it starts but there just seems to be no ignition. Im not mechanically skilled in any way so i look under the bonnet and have no idea what im looking at. Any suggestions?

    It sounds like the pump isnt supplying fuel to the rail first port of call check the fuses.

    Not too sure I think theres one in engine bay near battery? and one inside car near steering wheel or glovebox. Sorry abit vague.

    Look at them visually you will see a small strand of wire if thats broken or burnt it needs replacing.

    Immobilised? is the an immobiliser light on the derv if so is it flashing?

    theres no immobiliser on the car. any one got any suggestions?

    Didnt put petrol in it did you?
    Glow plug connection might of come lose?
    run low on fuel?
