Important! : Shit.... snapped a bolt ... will it be ok ?

Hey guys so i switched the front shocks for lowered ones of a project car i bought to strip out the mods for mine, I switched the shockes out and the very last bolt i tightened was one of the three bolts under the bonnet to hold the shock up to the body.... is this a problem ? or is it a deadly important thing i need to get sorted...?

Reason i ask is that the bolts are not exactly heavy duty so wondered if the other two will hold it ok anyways ?

Also on the rear i have a wheel bolt thats rounded it goes round and round in the hole ... i have another axel but dont want to swap em as mines better ... can i just swap out the hub ? as its disks on the back or can i not ?

    Cheers peeps...

Its an mot fail there for your car is now "un road worthy" in the eyes of the plod

    Get it fixed

Tbh i should think it would be ok as long as the top mount isnt damaged. they arent exactly load bearing bolts, get it changed sharpish though.

you can change the rear hubs but its a pain in the arse iirc

i'd not want to drive it, as the whole strut is going to want to twist when you turn the steering - more likely to shear the remaining two bolts now.

chap i was only looking for advice on the matter lol as i had been told it would be ok by a few and now being told its not so was just wondering lol.

I know it was a silly question but it was worth having the opinion of a few others too.

Cheers for the advice peeps ill get to changing it now...

it should be fine dude, theres always a safety factor engineered into pieces. Its not ideal, but should be ok in the short term.

My mate did the same and racked up about 40k before replacing it lol

I've done exactly the same before. The threads that come out of the top mounts.are made of fucking chocolate. As said would be ok in the short but would get it sorted asap to be safe

yeah man, just get a hub puller, wheech each hub off and swap them. Youll need a new wheel bearing though unless you can work with immaculate cleanliness.
