#8I used 'copydex' for my roofliner, it's actually a fabric glue and thus far has worked well!
Get hold from clothing/material shops - but probably on eBay somewhere!1 user thanked this post: -
#9i use wikes brush on contact adhesive for all trimming i do and never had a problem with sagging headliners
-

what do you mean by both sides? Fabric and the liner?
-
#18Yeh fabric and lining spray it about 15" away from fabric . And dont drowned it in glue just enough to give a good contact and trust me it sticks so which before you stick it together
-
#20Cheers mate! The stuff i used previously worked very well and stuck almost immediately, got a really nice finish if i say so. Not one crease in sight! Hopefully all goes well this time, il let you know!
-
#21Oh beckford on a moan again how about using some wikes brush on contact for your fingers and mouth . Before looking at other people spelling check your own . Cos your not perfect . .... End of
-
#23and i never have said i'm perfect, so epic fail from you, yet again
-
#24Why keep picking up on people typing does it really matter . I don't know you . You may be a great guy but your really starting to get on people tits .
-
#27If you're going to correct people, please use correct grammar and spelling yourself. I don't see any capital letters there, or full stops.Quote:its called being able to spell actually! and knowing the difference between bought and brought
-
#30In fairness as long as people understand the point being made it really doesnt matter, just a shame beckford has no point, ever. I tried carpet glue and thats whats sagged for me! The one wassy showed me has headlinings as a use so im gonna trust it!
-
#31I used that copydex for those 'damaged' corners, just where you had under judged the fabricQuote:Can I ask what was the point of that post?
On topic - I used some carpet glue lol, worked a treat, never sagged. As dolby said, he now has it so hope it stays stuck.
Sorted now though, but with wassy's experience, I'd use copydex as a back up
Doubt you'll need it though, if you've seen wassy's car, you'll know the guy knows what he's doing! -
#32Truth, il see whats about/how well this stuff works when it gets here! Black suede here we come!Quote:I used that copydex for those 'damaged' corners, just where you had under judged the fabric

Thankyou please! -
#34Beckford, stop being a cunt, you're pissing everybody off you little piss flap.
But yeah definitely listen to Wassy, he knows his shit when it comes to interiors, and Rudpud knows a few things too
.
-
#36LOL Beckford reminds me of a guy off here from a while ago
AKA
Mirrorblanks
Tahitiblue
and many other usernames lol -
#37Yeah, his post count has gone up dramatically in the past couple of weeks...just from being a prick..400 posts in a month from somebody who just acts like a hardman.
-
#41I love grammar arguments.. They amuse me!
Half back on topic though, my rooflining has sagged already which is rather sucky. It was so much more effort doing it than I thought.. Im assuming pulling it off to redo will ruin the fabric so i'd have to get more instead? -
#42Use the glue I said . Yeh you might have to buy more once gets sticky buy heat the glue is . What's the word . Fxxked lol
-
#43Yeah, I've learnt the hard way :/ ah well, life lessons and all that!
-
#44Dis you know that 15-20% of the worlds literate population suffer from diffrent degrease of reading and writing condition's. the most common being known as dyslexia.Quote:its called being able to spell actually! and knowing the difference between bought and brought
being a twat about people that can spell doesnt make u look or sound any better. I often cant write or spell very well at all and yet im still able to get my point across and comunicate with people so where is the issue?? -
