The boot to my 1999 Saxo (hence the username) wont open after the glass was replaced in the back window after it was smashed. There is still a lot of loose glass in the boot area so there may be glass still in there - although I cleaned it pretty well. The key will insert to unlock and lock it but the button cannot be pushed in the whole way when you try to open it, however, when the boot is 'locked' the button puishes in the whole way. It worked fine without the glass in the back window, however after autoglass came - it wouldnt open. Cheers people.

#2what you have to do mate, is climb in the boot from putting your back seats down, take a 10mm socket and take the latch off from the boot floor, once thats off your boot will open and you can take all the glass etc out and just grease it up or WD-40, and should be good as new, hope that helps

this happened to me the other week after my name smashed my back window -.-, after you go into the boot through the back seats and take the lock off, get something like a key or a thin screw driver and scrape all the glass out of the lock, shake the boot up and down to get most of the glass out from it otherwise it will keep happening to you
