   ive lost my only key can i just change the locks or does it have to have it recoded or something like that

   you should have a key card thing in the citroen manual that comes with the car so you can scratch off the stuff like a scratch car and it will have a number/code on it and if you take that to citroen they will sort you out a new key.
   
   unless your really unlucky and thats inside the car locked up haha.

   oh dear... lol i duno how much they cost all i know is thats what the key card code thing is for.
   gutted mate, i duno what your options are tbh, i dont think it is as simple as changing the locks, as the key has a transponder thing init that does some crazy shit when in the ignition. not 100% on this but im sure somebody else on here can tell you.

   Im pretty sure the only option now is to get one from citroen, as they are the only one who will have the code etc on their system from your reg number.
   
   Someone will correct me if im wrong, hope they do as a new key from citroen aint cheap!

   cheers only paid 400 quid for it thank god, looks like its for the breakers then .just hope i can find the key otherwise ill have to smash the ignition off to get it home as its stuck 20 miles away

   if you find the key why would you wanna go to the breakers?
   and even if you dont find the key, what can the breakers do about it?

    its a phase 2 w reg in gold body work has a few war wounds and the old rear axle has had its day apart from that its been a good runner and has a brand new power steering pump which i got from citroen
