As the title states basically! Paydays today and i feel coilovers are a must have. Dont want to be spending a grand on them, would just like to know what set is the best for the price! Any hints? Also any knowledge of how some of them are for ride comfort/handling etc!

#2If you are looking for budgets, one set not to get is the raceland, many comments on here about them, they are awful!1 user thanked this post:

#4have you considered springs lewis? i put springs on my vtr and everyone slates them for comfort, but IMO it feels the same as standard.. alot cheaper than coilies too! how low you gunna go?
-
#5Considered but im looking at dropping about 50/60, as ive got some bbs 3 piece wheels which im looking to get fitted, so i figured coilies would be my best bet, along with a cupra r splitter to stop me ruining my widemouthQuote:have you considered springs lewis? i put springs on my vtr and everyone slates them for comfort, but IMO it feels the same as standard.. alot cheaper than coilies too! how low you gunna go?

#6If your only going 50/60 a good matched spring and damper setup is your best bet and only 2-300 quiD
Coilies start around 600 and only go up plus they tend to be a lot firmer on the ride (not as comfy) -

by 50/60 i mean on the front end! Also my area is full of speed bumps so to have the adjustible front end height would mean i can alter it for events and casual driving?
-
#8but are you really going to change the height from day to day
you can go down 60 front on just spring s and shocks as that what mine is atm
if you look around on here you may even get a cheap set up from someone who has gone to coiles from lowering springs -
#9Dont spend any less than £500 on coilovers.
find a set you want to buy and see what people of saxp think about them before you buy. -
#10I knew what you meantQuote:Should have been more clear before

Im saying that height coilies arent needed
Plus you would very quickly get fed up of the usual coilies 250lb+ springs and the hard ride
60mm on the correct size tyres (185/55 or 195/45) speedhumps shouldnt be an issue
Im 50 on apex springs with a 4-1 mani a lower brace and a centre boxed exhaust and i dont struggle at all and were i live is all speed humps -
#11I'd bet a dollar you will not adjust it. No-one ever does..1 user thanked this post:
