ecu diag connection 1.4 tu3jp engine

    tried to connect to ecu on obd2 connctor with a hand held and with a laptop. but cannot detect the protocol.
    had a look on the net and looks like its EOBD ?
    iso9141 / 14230. ??? im a little lost..
    anyone know if there is a crossover plug so i can connect obd2 or any info would be a godsend..

    its a 1.4 sx R reg 1998 tu3jp engine, with a 16 pin connector.
    anyone else had problems not being able to detect a protocol?????
    any advice, tips or help,, please

    using a shit reader was the problem.. used m8s snap on solus reader with citreon protocol key.. sorted.. :-)
