HELP!!

Hi everyone, erm yer basically I was driving along, took a right turn at a T junction went to go into second, which can be a bit annoying, and as I did so, you know the grinding gears sound?

Yer well it made that sound. So I thought standard. But then as I got home, (luckily just around the corner) I noticed my gearbox was screwed. And by that I mean the gearknob won't sit in any gears, stuck in 1st, and just moves about, you can actually move it in circles. All I can think about is a huge bill.

Please help if you have any idea to what it could be! I would be very grateful!!

Get an assitant to move the gear lever while you look at the selector linkages on the gearbox to establish if the linkages are working, if the linkages are working the problem lies with the gearbox.

    Hope you get it sorted!
