Alloys on saxo

Tried to fit new 15" alloys on saxo 1,1 and they were basically much bigger than old steelies, (14") Rookie mistake, I know. They rub on the inside basically like the inside frame of the car, were quite tight. Would it be ok to just put some spacers on with diff bolts to fit? Or will this cause other issues/not recommended?

bend the inner bit to the arch out with some pliers carefully, search it up theres a guide mate

Thanks but I think people are getting mixed up thinking it's the outside arch, when basically the tyre was thicker so was rubbing against the inside panel? Like if it had a spacer and pushed the wheels out would fit, but I don't know if it will be that simple :/ how far do people normally go with spacers, isnt it dangerous to go too far? But they were quite tight against so think ill need big ones, thanks for reply

Buy a spacer kit, you want the hubcentric type spacers which bolt onto the car first then wheel bolts onto the spacer. Or the spacers with longer bolts and spacer disc with holes in. I have that type and they are fine.

get 5mm spacers on. also you could get a big hammer and go to town on that inner arch. it should bend in ever so slightly into the boot to give you more clearance. worked for me. also put a scissor jack up there and ground the inner lip of the outside arch off on ma car. my plastics along the flat arch stick out just a little where they meet the back bumper. popped and dropped
