Typical 16v conversion question... No spark possibly???

To begin with, my engine loom and interior looms never matched up when plugged together. I sent them off to pug1off to be spliced.

I refitted the loom, car still wont start.

I sent my ecu to be unlocked. Still no start.

Fuel pump wasn't priming. So i just tried hard wiring it. The pump primes, but the car still wont start.

How can i check the coil pack for spark? I have all the origional parts that came on the running engine. Coilpack, plugs, wiring... The only reason i can see their being a problem is pug1off may not have spliced the looms right meaning my wiring between the engine loom and interior loom still doesn't match up?!

Please help, my head hurts!!! haha.

Pull the coilpack out and put two spark plugs in it, then rest it against some bare metal in the engine bay. Get someone to turn the ignition and if there is a spark you will see it. But make sure there is at least two spark plugs in there as it doesnt operate with just one and make sure its resting on bare earthed metal.

    EDIT:
Have you also checked the crank position sensor?

I tried what you said mate, no spark. Tried a friends unlocked ecu, wouldn't work either.

I have tried another cps sensor, no luck.

I tried to trace the wires back from a diagram i found. It seems like the wires go to the correct ecu pins.

Not sure what else their is to check?! I will call pug1off tomorow and see what they say...

All sorted now mate. It was the wiring to the cut off, i notcied the damaged connection. She's a runner now.

    Thanks though mate!
