known problems

   i'm putting my 1999 saxo thru MOT soon. it hasnt been in for an MOT in 2 years and i'm dreding it coz i havnt really got 45 to waste and want it to pass first time.
   
   is their any common/known issues with old saxos that i should know about and check before i take it down to be MOT'd. ive noticed twisted break lines is an issue sometimes ive not seen any bad corrosion on the bodywork yet gunna have to get in the pit today and look at the under body to see if its all hunky dorey.
   
   any info would be of help.

   the grommets near the jacking points rot through. boot floor on the edges. rear beams, CV joints if it gets ragged about. other than that, the usual culprits and emissions!
