Head bolts & engine code.......

    Hello all

Ok, seeing as my engine is a HDZ, does this make a TU1M?
    I've seen the TU1M+ also.

Also, Citroen dont seem to recommend replacing the head bolts, have any of you done this to find yourself in the same position only but a few weeks later (eg blown gasket)?

I'd like the car on the road ASAP rather than waiting for a cheap headset (Inc head bolts) if I can get away with not replacing the bolts!

    Cheers!

the official line is that provided the bolts haven't exceeded a set measurement in length then they are OK but i always replace them, its not worth the chance

yes citroen don't specifyreplacing the bolts but for the sake of an extra tenner you'll save yourself another headgasket and the ballach of doing it again.

As for the engine code, does that ring any bells?

    Ok cool thanks!

So being a HDZ, does that make it a TU1M?

I've also seen parts applicable to the TU1M+ engine code that are fitted to the same year Saxo's?
