HIDs and MOTS

   MOT is up next month, has anybody ever passed their MOT with HIDs in or will i have to go through the ballache of removing and re-installing after?
   Also have pressed plates, guessing i should just bolt my old ones back on to play it safe too?
   Also can Gearbox mounts fail an MOT? i know mine are knackered...

   Mine passed mot fine with hids, altough my mate did it
   Best to take them off mate put normal bulbs in, same for the plates if you got normal ones just put them back on. Only once a year you got to do it so.

   I took my plates off and refitted standards just to make sure.
   
   That's what i'd do with the HID's aswell tbh

   my hid's passed, along with my decat and 12 inch number plate
   helps when you have mates in the trade
   
   only takes a couple minutes to fit normal bulbs, you dont have to completely remove the whole kit

   All I did was took the bulbs out bubble wrapped them and secured them in the engine bay. Fitted standard bulbs done, no need to take all the wiring out

   So if i just took the bulbs out and swapped them for standards and taped up the plugs it'd be alright?
   Anybody know about the gearbox mounts?

   Mine was fine by just securing the HID bulbs and putting standards in, did it on my mot on friday. Got to make sure the HIDs are secured though as you dont want them to break lol

   gearbox mount id imagine would just come under advisory depending how bad they are lol. not 100% sure if they look at them though but i would imagine

   Fair enough I'll just tape the plugs and take the bulbs out for the hour. Thanks guys
