Bonnet struts - how did you fit yours?

  1. #1
i have some Lynxx bonnet struts off my old golf ready to go on the saxo, but unsure where to connect it too! on the bottom, i can drill a hole in the side of the wing in the bay and connect it through there. but for the top to connect to the actual bonnet, where do i drill a hole? as if i do it through the side, the screw/bolt will just pop out the other side not leaving enough room for the bonnet to actually close!

if you have. where have you done yours?

    pics of my struts

i will use my old boot struts if these are not strong nor long enough ect..

thankyou in advance! and yes, ive searched and as per ive found nothing!

Buy 2 boot strut connectors for a 106 or wizz them off a battered 1 at a scrappy and have them welded on to the underneath or side of the bonnet

sorry i mis-read, i thought it said bonnet, i have 2 saxo's in my garden so i would of taken it off them if i needed it. i knew i could do it that way with boot struts, but my bonnet struts have screws already in them ready to screw in, so im not able to have that boot strut attatchment, obv like said in original post if i have to, i will go the boot strut way if i HAVE to, i just thought there may be an easier way with the ones i have! if not no worries, cheers people!
