as title, when im driving, if i turn to the right slightly there is something scrubbing the inside of my tyre. but when i look underneath the car with wheel pointing right i cant see anything, any ideas? it scrubs on passenger side if that makes a difference.

also, car failed mot yesterday on ball joint has play (bearing in mind both wishbones are a few months old), took it off and replaced it with another brand new one. but looking at the one i took off, if ball joint has play...should it move around easily by hand? as its solid (just like the new one).

while im at it so i dont have too many threads open:

while im driving, i have a kind of knocking noise from passenger side front. would this be a driveshaft? or something else.

funny enough i had this exact same problem with my saxo, when i turn left no problem at all, when i turn right, it sounds asif the wheel is rubbing against something?

and when you turn the wheel it isnt touching anything...

anyway, after a while mine just went away on its on, how long has yours been doing it?

tbh i only noticed this today after i changed the wishbone. its strange how it rubs when driven but have a look and nothing is touching lol

I had the scrubbing noise not long back, turned out to be the inner arch lining when i mistakenly forgot about a speed bump at the markeaton meet last Sunday, Hannah had to rip it off as it was dragging on the floor after the speed bump, and now i have no scrubbing noise ha.

Also i'd say the knocking is the driveshaft.

I have a knocking noise when i full lock the steering wheel left and right, also knocks when i hit pot holes and speed bumps, checked cv joint gaitors and they seem fine with no obvious splits or cracks. Also checked drop links and ball joints and they are also in good condition, so just going to leave it and see what happens. But Apparently when the anti roll bar bushes go they cause a knocking and clunking noise, £6 from citroen for new bushes just need to find some time to replace them! But its been doing it for over a year now and its not getting any worse so there's no rush, hope this helped

i have no inner arch liners, i ripped mine out lol

I had the same problem, mine was the inner arch lining it had a massive hole it where it had been rubbing.

I also had the knocking, I replaced every thing at the front, bushes, shocks , top mounts etc
Finally it stopped lol

mine cant be rubbing on inner arch liners, i havent got any lol.

iv replaced, front struts/drop links and wishbones, yes its still knocking

if its driveshaft it can wait, cars coming off the road end of year to have shit loads of work done to it, so will replace everything with new
