New Gear Gaitor & Gear knob

   Hello, Ive jus brought a momo corse Gear knob & the gaitor, I plan to replace my existing 1 with it.How do i remove the centre console??Its a mk2 vtr without the keypad imobilisor, a clue to wear the main screws are would be a big help

   Lift the gear gator up they should be under there I believe.

   so you mean rip the old gaitor off to remove the center console bit?

   I dont think you have to rip it, you should be able to pop it out to reveal some screws.

   what is the gaitor like? what you trying to do by taking centre console out? is that where the cd player and vents and stuff are e.t.c.?

   think he means the bottom half fella, ie electric window controls..

   oh right ok. why does he need to take it off to get the gear knob off? is the gaitor just the leather bit around the gearnob?
