I need some new headlight bulbs as mine are mega shite. I'm wondering if the halfrauds brand of bulbs are any good. They make the "Extreme Brilliance 90% brighter ones) Anyone used these and are they any good? or any you recommend?

#4I was thinking of smoking the front headlights to make the front end look more upto date. I've heard that smoking the headlights helps concentrate the beam of the light so it appears to be a bit brighter. Is there any truth in this or just bullshit?

#6Osram nightbreakers are good, or ive got the philips extreme ones, generally people go for the osram's as they are slightly cheaper and pretty good!

#9Go on Ebay and get a HID set mate you have to fix the ballasts in the bay near or around your lights but they're mega powerful the pigs use them on undercover vehicles. You can pick a 6000 - 8000k set up for £60. Bearing in mind the H4 bulbs aren't cheap and there's a reasonable amount of difference.

#10Ugh, I had this dilema a few weeks back.
DON'T put HID's in your lamps if you have reflector headlamps. If you have after market projectors then go for it.
MTEC Super White 100W H4 Bulbs are the best I've had. Yes, 100W is classed as illegal, and normally I'd advise against them. BUT - I've tried both the 55W and 100W versions of these bulbs, and here's why I'd go for the 100W.
It's because of the blue coating on the bulb that's there to cancel out that yellow light, so it looks more 'white'. Normally an un-coated 100W bulb would be far too bright, but if you had the standard 55W Super White's, the light wouldn't be as bright as your stock un-coated 55W bulbs due to the blue coating on the bulb, as it's blocking the light even though it would appear whiter. The 100W set however will punch through this coating a lot better, resulting in a white/blue tint light that's nice and bright, and because of the blue coating it's not as ridiculous as normal off-roading 100W bulbs.
Look at the comparison below:

Had these for a few weeks, VERY pleased with them! Hope this helps! -
#11if you wanna update the look of your headlites do wot i did. i removed the outer lenses, masked up the reflectors and sprayed the inner silver/grey parts satin black. kinda gives your headlites a modern vee dub look

#18Torn between 2 different sets advised about
Cheap dont look alot different than HID's to be fair....

#19Anything that has a colour on it is shit. As it is blocking the available light. IE the blue tinted xenons.Quote:Torn between 2 different sets advised about

Personally, I'd buy the Phillips. And if they didn't have them, I would buy the Osram's instead.
The Phillips ones based on the Which? review were compared against a Vauxhall Astra with Xenon projectors. The Phillips came out with a brilliant score in comparison.

#20They do block light, unless you do what I said in my post a few posts up - 100W's.Quote:Anything that has a colour on it is shit. As it is blocking the available light. IE the blue tinted xenons.

#21Got some 100w jobbies in mine. That, coupled with the spots, lights up the road like its daylight. Funny seeing other peoples highbeams!
