Bike carb setup

Cant seem to find an answer on this so I'll ask here.

I intend at some point to graft on some bike carbs to an old xsi inlet I have, granted I know they dont use individual inlet tracts but I can sort this easily enough.
What I believe what I will need is the following
    :
4 bike carbs and jets suited to the engine (1.6 8v)
rubber connectors to mount them on the inlet
    throttle cable modifications
    sausage filter
Fuel pressure regulator and maybe a return line to the tank

However I cant see to find a definitive answer to the question of spark. Can I leave the coil pack in place and let the ECU control the spark, and just unplug each injector so they arent firing but the head is sealed? I gather aftermarket ECUs are available to do this function such as megajolt etc however if I can get something working on the standard gear i'm all for it.
Does anyone have experience of this in their own car?

    thanks in advance

As far as I'm aware, all it will do is throw up the management light, the ecu will still tell the coil to fire because it will still be getting a signal from the crank. And the ecu can't make the engine go into any kind of limp home mode because all the fueling will be set up through the carbs.
I have a friend who strapped a set of r6 carbs to his vtr and rejeted the carbs and it ran fine, just has the management light on.
