banding steelies

   how many inch of band can i get on a steely for a saxo until it becomes illegal? and say if i lower 30mm

   Depends what size steely you get in the first place, if you get a 6j and add a 3inch band it'll only be 9 but would have a big dish . You would wanna lower it more as well.

   ye i know, but you need to see where i live...there putting a metrotram through our town ...the whole place is dug up....and roads are stupidly bumpy...

   so 3" huh? think thats about 320-350 quid from wide-wheels...but how much would the tyres be lol?

   Well you would put 205's on em to get a stretch. So probably if you go if
   we decent tyres 280 that's cost of fitting them as well

   As long as not tyre tread shows on the outside of the arch youll be fine, ive also heard rumours if you have the tyre on the inner bead not outer bead some jobs worth's can be funny about it..

    Depends how there painted mate and also depends on how far they stick out the arch to weather they are legal. The resale value depends on what wheel they are to start with and how good the paint/ powder coat/ chrome finish is. I have seen vw banded wheels for a mk1 golf go for over a grand but they were chromed.

    well im only going to be doing steelies...with 3" maybe...as of now they saying 350 or so to make? will they get 250 resell surely?
    
    and paint will be either chrome/white lip with anthracite ( however u spell it ) / black middle

    depends on whats in fashion and what people want, its all about the trend of the time. few months back it was all bout banded steels not its just deep dish euro style so no one can say weather you will be able to resell them for good price or not.
    think it took chris on here a good few months to shift his for £300, as for tyres i just beand new tyres all round for £52 a corner on cash deal.

    check my steelies mate, there 8.5 on back , started at 6j 406 steels added 2.5 band, and mine are perfectly legal

    People do them for you on ebay for about £100 if you send your steels off to them, I would just buy deep dished alloys tho
