Will soon be buying some 4x7x16 rims. Am I right in saying i will need 195/40/16's? Thinkin of buying the wheels from a site separate and then gettin some Pirelli P Zero Neros in the above fitment. Sound good to everyone?

I have them toyo's on the gti-6 and to be honest dont rate them at all.

I like the dunlop sp9000's very expensive but good tyres. Im sure continental do cheap ish 40 profiles.

Dunlops are still cheaper then the Zeros! Hmm will have to think it over. Need about 600 and i got about 300 so wont be doing it for about another month yet. Cheers for your help lads. Any other opinions welcome too

My toyos are class in the dry and even better in the wet!

But they do wear out quickly so watch what your doing with them!

Pirelli P7s, superb all round tyre. wet and dry. one step down from P Zero Nero. around £90 a corner in that size i reckon.

Im not saying the toyo's are bad tyres, just dont think there anything special.

soft compound tyre, they wear quicker...but its all down to preference id go for michellin or pirelli both good all rounders IMO

Soft compound? Maybe in F1 but I've yet to see my local Kwik Fit offer me different compound tyres........

Toyos now i think they are just slightly over-rated and yoka 539s are even worse.

Although i have heard any ratings on them new T2 's that toyo have just brought out.

Zero neros are good and you get what you pay for and from my calculations should be cheaper than Goodyear F1s

I don't know where you are getting your prices from but the Pirelli Pzero Nero is cheaper than both the Continental's and the dunlops...

Pirelli Pzero Nero £68.11 for just tyre.... or £81.62 fitted...
Continental Sport Contact 2 £80.11 for just tyre... or £93.62 fitted...
Dunlop SP9000 £86.67 for just tyre... or £100.28 fitted...
    Linkage - black circles
If you click on the names it also gives you a little review of each tyre telling you the pros/cons of each...

If you buy tyres as a mail order online make sure you take into account cost of local fitting... as some places charge a fair bit...

    Hope that helps
