Just want a true 60mm drop :(

  1. #1
I've been through 2 or 3 sets of springs now of '60mm' drops and none are ever 60mm, they're always 45/50mm.

Before I give up completely and just go for coilovers I'm gonna try 1 more set, these, anyone had any experience with them? Also does anyone have any pictures of their car with them on?

    Thanks in advance

try using shorted shocks aswell. as standard ones naturualy make the car sit higher so when lowering springs are fitted most the wieght of the car when stood still is on the shocks, as there trying to keep the car at standard hieght. also 40mm and bellow on standard shocks is bad, they will soon become fucked.

WTF, shocks dont hold the weight of a car.

My shocks are uprated all round anyway...

I did have a good read through that, but you've got a little arch gap and that's on 15's, I'm running 14's so the arch gap will be a bit more :/
Annoying to say the least, looks like coilovers is the only route

    Cheers for that.
Do you reckon the springs I posted in the 1st post are the ones used in that kit?
I've already uprated all the shocks so I don't really want to be spending more than I need to by buying even more shocks haha.

well my friends AX had a buggered shock on the front left of the car and it sat lower than the right. so he bought a new one and it lifted it back up, higher than the other side, so had to replace both for new ones in the end.

so they dont hold any wieght of the car?

so a car with standard shocks and 50mm lowering springs will sit exactly the same as a car with shortend shocks and 50mm lowering springs?

As long as both spring rates are the same yes.

thats obviously not true tho is it, as i just proved that its wrong.

having a nackerd shock caused it to sit lower on one side, and when replaced with a known good shock it raised it back up.
