MK2 Coloured Lights......

   I've seen these and they do look good, considering if myself, however I do have one question ?
   
   With sanding down the inside (chrome/reflective stuff) does this not effect the beam strengh ??

   it hasnt affected mine i have put stronger bulbs in

   dont think so. when you sand down the insert there is still a chrome bit on the unit of the light for the bulb to reflect on. and all the smoked headlights you buy are the same as this

   Is it adviseable them to get stronger bulbs ?? I just thought the light projection distance would be a lot lot less ??

   no need for stronger bulbs.
   as for the crome suround when you take lights apart the bit you paint seperates from rest of unit, you only need to rub it very lighly with 1200 grit wet and dry as it comes of quite easy.
   and it doe's not effect your beam

   i'm still on std bulbs and I haven't suffered from poorer lighting performance.
   
   Do as TM03 said for removing the chrome effect coating.
