gear box

   hello to every one ive just bought a 51 plate citroen saxo i.i the problem i have is that the the gear lever is very sloppy when your in gear plus its hard to select the right gear just feels very loose can any help me with this problem

   most likely to be the gear linkages, if you open the bonnet and look down the back of the gearbox you will see the linkages grab hold of them and see if theres play in them, if its really loose maybe one has popped off or something.

   Check the rod that goes into the gearbox (linkages attatched to). May need a new pin. Give it a wobble to see if has any movement.

   + 1 i just recently fixed this one mine (citroen no longer make them pin/dowels so just order a larger one and grind a bit off it
