saxo vts mk1 rev counter, where does its signal come from, as my counter keeps bouncing all over the place.

#2Pretty sure its controlled by the ecu so seems strange that its moving all over the place without the idle being affected. Some people have had luck with leaving the battery disconnected for 10-15 mins, seems to rectify signal problems sometimes, other than that, maybe the little motor part in behind the dials? may be faulty.
