saxo TWO-TONE made like this?

  1. #1
does anyone know if saxo two-tone's were made like this?

Most two-tones i've seen have black bumper strips and mine are colour coded as you can see...
wondering if the previous owner did it or it was done at the fabrication...
  2. #2
No, they come with black bump strips. Is that a 16v or an 8v?
  3. #3
1.4 8v, it's enough power for a first car though...
but would love a 1.6 16v in a few years, must feel great to leave al those fancy expensive cars behind you with a sax^^ there faces than must be like O.o'
  4. #4
    lol their not that fast
  5. #5
no but you have a faster accelleration (than an average car) because of the little weights of a saxo... I allready have left some beemers eat dust, so now it seems awesome to drive the same car but with double as much hp... but don't get the wrong intentions, i'm no speed-freak... i'm treating her well^^

That doesn't seem right. As far as I know the only two tones were VTR and VTS?

That one has wheel trims so would imply a furio but it has VTS badges? Is it just a badged up furio with a respray or something?
  7. #7
Careful Tom, I suspect it's a mainland Europe VTS
  8. #8
    Ahh yeah!

Steering wheel does seem to be on the wrong side in that photo!

Lmao how the hell hasn't he noticed!!!!!

LHD would have been a big clue as to why it was abit different.......

    nono, it's a real vts and it's a real two-tone (it's on the car-papers)^^
the car is from Belgium (just like me)...
and you're saying our steering wheel is on the wrong side, but actually yours are on the wrong side

I think someone should make a car with a wheel on both sides!
  12. #12
    and to be clear it's a 1.4 VTS 8V
and i'm still searching for some proper toulouses (as I just bought some new michelin's in the front) otherwise I would put the 15" indianapolis under it (not that easy to find here in belguim)
  13. #13
didnt know they did a 1.4 VTS even in EU. chances are its a furio badged. Mines a westie but prev owner badged her up, UHU style. nightmare to get off. Get some VTS rims and get them painted the same charcoal gray as the lower part of the two-tone. would look lovely.]
  14. #14
also, cracking car, two-tones seem to be popping up everywhere at the moment. a few have surfaced on here recently
  15. #15
if it was a badged furio the car-papers wouldn't say vts...
and i've already seen a two-tone with grey colourcoded indianapolis on it... didn't liked it that mutch tbh
for now 'till i've found some decent rims i think i'm gonna repaint the steelies black with a darker-orange lip... will look decent imo...

    will look something like this:

let me know what you guys think about that?

Why not compromise put the steering wheel in the middleit`s a cracking looking car though & with a set of vts wheels on it would look even better.
  17. #17
I do like the bump strips colour coded like that. I'm thinking of getting mine down like that
  18. #18
1.4 VTS on the papers it may be, but in the UK its branded the Furio. Still a nice car though!
  19. #19
Did they ever do a EU 16V VTS?

    What would this be called?

  21. #21

    its a san remo
  22. #22
    here you just got a 1.4 vts, a 1.6 vtr/vts and a 1.6 vts 16v i think
  23. #23

passing them doing 50mph doesnt count
  25. #25
think whatever you want, the car beats (some) diesels from 0 to 50
but I don't care to much about the performance (like i'm gonna put much money and effort in a 1.4 engine), more about the look... comments on the steelies pls^^

and i'm thinking about lowering the car, is it a good idea knowing I often use the car and belguim is more speedbump than flat road?
  26. #26
beat a Diesel? How about you race an m3!
Personally I'm not liking those stealies with the red outline, I think it makes it look a bit tacky (something that would suit a starlet)
I would wait and buy a set of vts or vtr rims if I was you.
  27. #27
yeah i know, but it's not that easy to get a hold on those rims...

still thinking about some mods (and not too expensive as I'm just a student and need the money) I can do on the car to make it look more classy and clean.

going for tinted the headlights but first i'm gonna search me some spares to tint, cause if I might not like it I can reverse it immediately.

    ideas are welcome!
  28. #28
thats nice, they usually have black strips though as said
  29. #29
Lol, do what I did last night and try with on with a new 335d... I just wanted to see how fast that thing was compared to my VTS, words cannot describe how fast it was
  30. #30
everyone can take daddy's car for a drive... at least I really own mine^^
  31. #31
    that the e92 335d?
pretty cars, was driving the 330i when i worked for BMW (love aussie insurance!!) very fast car for what it is! And (ze) Germans have got it bang on for diesel technology! (although its a fucker to work with being german)
M3 CSL all the way for shits and giggles though, although SMG2 is a C**T - lightning quick shifts but no fun of having a manual!

I do like the 2 tone but please... vtr/s alloys! your education can come second to cars (or make it on par like mine )

    Anyway, saxperience call
  32. #32
My two tone vts ain't colour coded. Though I have noticed the paint finish on the grey parts is shonky in places. I know they were done to order with a one off colour.
  33. #33
yeah I know, I am searching for toulouses... but do my tires (also 14") fit because the toulouses are wider than the steelies...?

and btw, I don't need the money for my 'education', I need the money to buy food and beer
