Water in rear lenses

   Took my rears off this afternoon to prep for tinting and there was some water in one of the rear lenses.Luckily nowhere near the bulbs
   
   Anyone else experience this and can anyone suggest a fix to stop it happening again.?
   
   I've noticed that the tops dont actually sit flush to the boot -should this also be the case i,e normal?

   Run some silicone sealant around the tops of the lights,& check the boot seal is not either not perished or isn`t loose.
