Understanding looms?

   Hi I need bit of help I own a v reg single plugged mk2 Vtr and iv jus brought a 106 gti 3 plugged engine? I no obv looms are not goin to fit and this is where need help?
   Is it as simple as?
   
   Buy Vts loom and single plug ecu and this will fit to engine ok?
   
   Or am I needing to buy a cross over loom?
   
   Any help would be great

   It probably is a crossover loom, if you take a photo of the connector that goes from the engine loom to the dash loom then we can say for sure though.
   
   If you wanted to convert your 3 plug engine to run on a single plug loom youde need the loom+ ecu but also coilpack maybe a few other sensors + alt (although its dead easy to re-wire the alternator connector to suit whatever alt you end up using)

   sorry for the hijack but i bought a mk1 vts engine with sp loom and ecu. will this fit into my dash loom. it looks the same but is there any other connector that connect to the dash loom?
