you can take that whole front off yano and put in another one bu make sure the two chasis arms arent damage by measuring them up with another saxos
  3. #3
get a mate hu knows a good bit to help sus out what is damaged an all that jazz
  4. #4
Also make sure the inner wings aren`t crumpled.
  5. #5
if you find the parts in the same colour then shouldnt be that much
  6. #6
Try and fix it mate. I was going to with my old car but the chassis legs were damaged so that was a no go.

any car is fixable depends on how deep your pockets go, when i wrote my car of it pushed the suspension leg back and luckly enough i had a mate that owened a jig so got it all pulled out and drives perfect now, i would say it is fixable just get all the parts in the right colour mate

can see from the photos that both legs have pulled in, either get them jacked back out and pulled straight or break it

mine was not as bad as this but same kinda damage and it has been repaired all i replaced was slam panel but the car was pulled back in to shape..
    can only try buddy

If you went through the insurance that would definately be a write off.

Looksto me like replacing the whole slam pannel would be a good place to start, doesnt look that bad to me

Thanks for the comments guys. I'll get my mechanic to take a look asap to check what parts need ordering etc.

Got to agree with paul as saxos dont fetch a lot of money and the insurance company wouldnt want to fix it. Get it written off and buy it back to fix it, parts for saxos are cheap and easy to come by some with a bit of know how the car could be up and going again and may even yeild you a couple of quid for your troubles.

Cost more in the long run making the claim. Think I'll try to fix it rather myself. Don't want to loose my no claims etc.

you dont get a mechanic to look at it, thats a panel beaters job.
  17. #17
Looks fixable tbh the damage doesn't look that bad

    ^good that.

On the other hand pick up a shell and swap the bits over there is plenty about...

That gives me hope tim thanks. Shell will just be too much time and effort to swap an engine over and all that. Atleast with my car I know what I've got already.
