bite point

    hi i need some info what could be when i set off in first gear i release clutch but it dont bite till very end and seems sluggish taking off unless i give more revs what could this be ?

    Clutch is on its way out if its high up

    dam ill have look into getting one then someone to fit it as im learning mechanics stuff still

    if the biting point is rather high up the clutch is on its way out,

    if it keeps slipping and you need more n more revs, it needs replacing soon as thb

    if you havent got the money for a new clutch yet, just tighten the cable a little for time being

    Done this to a mates car before he sold it, does work aswell

    As said if your struggling this month just tighten the clutch cable up. Dead easy, its located top of gearbox next to battery tray. Usually 10mm nuts.

    do i just losen it pull it then tighten up ?

    IIRC, you need to slacken the clutch cable to lower the pedal - tightening it will make it higher.

    There's two nuts on the end of the clutch cable. Back the first one off, back the second off a couple of turns, then tighten the first one up again.

    Repeat until you're happy with how it feels.

    surley you loosen it to lower the bite as tightening it will make it push the plate harder?
