got a funny rubbing/squiling noise from gearbox i think ?
it goes wen i dip the clutch !
any ideas please ?

Release bearing by the sound of it if the noise goes when you put your foot on the clutch

yes it is the release bearing im afrade cheap doing bit its well anoying to do with Engine in lol

Yep release bearing, if you're just going to replace that I think its about £20, unless you do the full clutch while you have the gearbox off

Mine did this but my gearbox died so i got to sort it out,
as said its easy and cheap to do but its a pain.

Mines making that kind of noise n I've been told the gearbox is on it's way out. I've got to get a new one too

mine did this and i thought it was the release bearing but it isnt i am having to get the gearbox reconned as the bearings inside the box are on the way out. its a common saxo problem.
