Weird problem.

   Went for a little spin last night and the red light came on and about 20mile later my car died! So I thought wtf that can't be petrol but I got petrol for it and it started, I almost get home and it dies agen! Did the same as before but this time it had a quarter tank. After leaving it for about 5 mins it started agen. Any ideas?

   would the red light be the battery light ?
   
   if so get alternator and battery checked

   Nope fuel light.

   try fuel filter and maybe a shot off red ex or simular as a first as thats the cheap option , if not pump i would have thought

   the light comes on but the gauge shows 1/4 tank?
   
   It's deffo the petrol light that's coming on, not the (!) light?

   Yeah I'll try that! I've cleaned a couple of things under the bonnet, and it's lay day Friday so I'll get some redex and a filter see what happenes from there thanks everybody
