Better get some wet and dry sand paper mate. Surely someone can do a cheap job for you, doesn't need to be perfect as you can barely see it there

First off how did you smooth it off? with filler i am guessing. so you need to block the filler back with smooth paper then mask the area off then prime it with a primer filler if it looks bad then let it dry and block it more. Then flat that down with 600 wet and dry and you should be ready for paint. You should never paint something unless it looks perfect in primer first.

Personally i would wash off all the paint with thinners and start again.

    Not true!

With practice any one can fill and spray. Not every one can afford to take it to a body shop and you never learn if you don't have a go at it.

to help avoid the raised box you described you will need to soft mask the area you want to paint if you paint to a hard edge like masking tape it will leave a ridge
use 1"+ tape fold it over leaving a little sticky edge sitkc it down with that leaving the foleded bit facing into the area you want to paint
make sure all the area is perfectly clean
if you can get some fade out will help
