Clutch

   My clutch on my 02 vtr has just packed in. I think it's the release/thrust bearing that's gone as there was no clutch slip or anyother sign of the clutch plate going before this point.
   
   I was just wondering how much it would cost to replace it as I dont have the space to do it myself.
   
   Or would it be cheaper to drop a Vts engine in?

   Cheers but the actual clutch plate is fine (I think). It's the release baring that packed up

   false economy to just replace one part, think how pissed you'd be if the plate packed up in 6 months and box had to come out again

   Not really lol, The OP lives about 20 mins from me, and i can make it to the midlands in about an hour there and back,

   Hummm not really up for driving that far without a clutch.
   
   I'm debating whether to drop a Vts in as it looks like it's going to be cheaper

    mmm if you can fit an S engine yourself then surely you can change a clutch yourself? 95 quid~ish buys you a Valeo clutch,job done! Lot cheaper then buying an S conversion surely?

    I doubt you could by the S parts for less than a clutch let alone get it all fitted
