Green Cotton Air Filters

So, Green Cotton Air Filters... Do they make any difference at all?

as in throttle response, noise, MPG etc...?

I had a std airbox with 2 cold air feeds to it, changed for a green cotton in a enclosed induction..

And it's alot louder, sounds like a quietened throttle bodies noise lol.

Can't tell a diff in MPG, doe's seem to pick up better, but i stripped it when i added the induction..

    get one

I wouldn't get one just for the noise tbh; but thanks for the input, always appreciated

the difference in performance between different brands of air filter is very minimal unless you've got a very highly tuned engine that needs all the air it can get

I don't expect any major added performance, only asking like I said about differences in mpg, noise and throttle response.

what air filter? panel or induction kit?
Green have a larger surface area when compared to their equivalent K&N etc so will flow slightly better.

yes, just a panel. Sorry should have specified..

The main benefit of this type of filter is they do not decrease in flow when dirty. A brand new paper filter will be almost as good though will still be inferior performance wise. As soon as its used the difference in performance will simply increase by the day as the paper filter clogs up with dirt. Performance air filters catch dirt using oil suspended in the airflow rather than small holes.

thanks, didn't know that. Reliability over time sounds definitely like a plus to me
