#2No,
Pistons and rods are different
Crankshafts the same
Block needs to be drilled and tapped to fit the tensioner for belt but other than that the block is the same.... I think -
#3can you tell me anymore about pistons like are they longer shorter ? lighter? cheers mate big help.
-
#4you can convert an 8v to 16v, but its more fuck on then its worth, and still requires engine to come out to do it with any "ease", so you may aswell get an S engine
-
#5i had an vts bottom end but the crank seal kept going
.... so they said at garage 8v bottom end same as 16v one
-
#6it is near enough, but not worth the fuck on, 8v's dont have piston valve cut outs either, be cheaper and easier to replace the engine or indeed the seal again, but if it keeps going then there must be a reason for this...

#7I always wanted to know about this, also thought of a 1.4 bottom end with a 16v head?
-
#8i think crank bent tbh .
