Central locking problem.

Could someone do me a quick test on their vtr preferably.
Lock the car using the key in the passenger door lock and see if it locks the drivers door and boot aswell.

Had my vtr nearly 2 years and central locking only works from drivers door.
If I lock door from passenger door, only that door locks and boot and drivers door are still open.

Had a Clifford alarm fitted yesterday and was working fine but today I got locked in car and could only get out by putting passenger window down and unlocking it with key.
I was then able to unlock the drivers door with key.

It's now working fine again so installer says it could be a locking motor on it's way out

Only the drivers door will operate all of the other locks, 99% sure its the same with all other saxos too

My 1.1 locked the boot aswell as passenger door when i locked the passenger side. The drivers door was fucked and only opened that door if you unlocked it.

The guys at source sounds in Sheffield that installed my Clifford concept 650mk2 said that as far as they can remember, every saxo vtr they have worked, the central locking works from all doors.
They said the Clifford is sending the signal to unlock the doors, but the door unlocked and locked straight away, so they reckon one of the locking motors is on it's way out.

You realise central locking is only through 1 door, if your alarm is unlocking and locking again. either check your drivers door isnt open because if it is. it will lock then unlock....

if drivers door is shut then try pressing the little button by the door hinges and see if it works.

My CL only unlocks the whole car when using my key on the drivers side door. I can unlock only the passenger door when using the key on that side ! I thought this was normal as i just assumed the master locking side is the drivers side.
