Well its beginning to get on my nervous now lol...heres the low down....its a 98 plate vts

    Problem 1:

When im driving, and look at my fuel gauge every couple of minuets it continusly going up...e.g i had half a tank and after looking at my fuel guage about 8 times within 5 mins, i apparently had just below a full tank, so knocked car off (whilst still driving) and flicked the key straight back on, the gauge re-set its self to the correct amount of fuel....5 mins later, just below a full tank again, so after doing this for about 3 motorway junctions i gave up and i am baffled lol...any ideas on this one??

    Problem 2:

Ive owned the car approximatly 4months now, and i am confused on this matter, i went to veiw the car, and i was running mint, i told the guy id have it at the end of the month (was 2 weeks away) i left my deposit and went home...a week later i arrange to view it again just to double check it was what i wanted, and in the week that i went to view it, he hadent driven it, sooo i start it up and its running lumpy, i though ok, its been stood for a week ill let it warm up then take it around the block...but still lumpy, i thought just a dirty idle control valve, and said ill still take it, and went to pick it up the following week, since then in the last 4 months ive changed the following:

    Crank sensor
    Map sensor
    Idle control valve
    Injectors
    Inlet manifold gaskets
    Oil temp sensor
    Water temp sensor
    Full service (including plugs)
    Coil pack
Re-timmed it (was 2 teeth out some how :/)
    Throttle possition sensor
    All engine mounts
    Lambda sensor

Yet it still idles wierd...i am very confused, ive had it onto 3 different diagnostic machines and had about 15 different machanics look at it, yet nothing showed up, yet re-placing all the above did nothing :/

But recently (about 2days ago) i listen to my engine running and there is a loud deep ticking comming from the cam cover nearest the inlet manifold, the oil since i have owned it (and was not low when i bought it) has always been kept full and has never dropped below 1/4 on the dip stick/ dash gauge...

do you think i could have a damaged valve or piston rings? there is no smoke at all (unless cold weather) comming from the exhaust, which leads me to think my piston rins are fine...can someone help please? ive thrown nothing but money into this car, its a minter apart from these problems lol....

The car doesnt lack any power and its running about 16 secs down a quarter mile and is around 117bhp...

    Problem 3:

When driving, i have notice that the car wobbles form side to side, asin the sell swaying, especially down the motor way, nothing majour, just it always feels like the car is going to skip out if i dont keep concentrating on it lol, i thought anti-roll bars prevented this??

All my bearings all good, both wheel and axle bearings, ive replaced the following:

    Lower ball joints
Lower wish bone bushes (ones that bolt into the cabin)
    Drop links
    Track rod ends
    Had my car tracked
    Had the wheels balenced...

Its also lowered 60mm all around

Also whe i throw it around a courner it hesitates asto wether its going to go around the courner or not, so i have to force it round as it were...

I love my car to pieces and as you can see ive spent a small fortune on it in 4months, and ive run out of time, and spare money to throw at it...please help me guys :'(

Im not a shy driver and ive done 13k in the 4 months ive had it and the only problems have been problem 2 and 3 from day one...please helps

Thanks in advance and sorry for the essay

not to sure about problem 1 but could be a faulty fuel sender? problem2 check your fuel regulator as it sounds like the same problem i had with my clio (thats if saxo have fuel regs haha) and problem 3 try the top mounts and lower mounts. not saying it will be this but worth a try haha

Problem 1 i`d say faulty fuel gauge sender or an earth problem. Also check the connections behind the dash too.Forgot to add too I think there`s a voltage regulator in the instrument cluster that can go bad as well.
