#2by taking the torrsion bars out
....on torsion bar goes into one arm, then into the axle, and the other torsion bar is the other way around...youll also have to remove the anti roll bar end plate(s) to as thats what holds every thing together...so either way youll have to get your torsion bars out if you want to lower it/ replace bearings

#4For something that can be very easily solved if you take it to somewhere that knows what they're doing, you're going to end up needing to spend alot more on a new beam at this rate especially if you're going to smack the arms off :-(
-
#5you've just damaged any chance of selling the car tbh, i would be budgeting for a new beam into the price
-
#6Hit them with a lump of cheese tbh if you can't get your bars out then u can't get your arms of tbh, take a pic of u hittin it with cheese and post it up (Y)
-
#7i never attempted to take them off, was a panic question, fuckin glad I didnt
-
#8never heard of the cheese method tbh, is it the overwhelming smell of mouldy edam and red leicester that eases the bars out?
-
#9must be, i heard apparently you rub some Stilton on it and the bars run off
-
#10aaaah so Stilton has lubricating properties, i see now, kind of like poor mans copper-slip as it were?
-
#11haha yea, i suppose so !!
