Saxo stalling at take off hard to keep revs..

    Hi guys,1st off i had a bad ideling problem 3 months ago or so,so i cleaned the ICV and put sum injecter cleaner for obvious reasons and it has bein fine until the past week it gets it hard to take off sumtimes i have to keep tapn the revs to keep them up or the car will stall,its very annoyn to say the least.. i also have a gearbox mount thats nearly gone would that be the cause? really appreciate any help! cheers

    maybe try another icv if its not working properly that could cause problems also have check for any vacuum leaks around the intake manifold as that could cause the car to want to cut out, not totally sure on this but i don't think the mount would cause this.

    Yes im gettin a scrap saxo on wensday a 97 1.6vtr.. Mines a 00 1.4vtr tho?? A code came up also i will post when find out what it is hopeing its that!

    Surely has to be one ov them?? Also my temperturegauge goes mad sumtimes bounceing up and down maybe 2-3 times ina row.. Would this be the tempeture senser??

    my saxo does the same thing, i just balance the revs and its fine.

    yours does sound much worse though :$

    using my clutch and accelerator, lol.

    but seriously, with mine, it sometimes "bounces" between 1-2k tap the accelerator and it sometimes get worse, i just hold the revs steady for a few seconds and it sorts itself out, not helpful i know, but until i get round to changing the ICV it works, and as said, mine isnt really that bad

    Yeh im thinking its the code that came up on the test mate.. Do be bunny hoping down the road sumtimes haha..
