ive just bought a 4-2-1 manifold and it only has one hole for a sensor yet my car has two sensors, can i fit it with only one or will i have to tap it for the other one aswell ? thanks

#2you can fit it with 1 lambda and get a lambda sleeve for the other, altho when i had a lambda sleeve on 1 a mechanic told me that i may aswell unplug it. hope this helps
-
#3just get a sleeve
-
#4Must have been a stupid mechanic lol, unplugging it will tell the ecu there's a fault whereas sleeving it makes it read clean air tricking the ecu into thinking the cat is still present
-
#5probablly a stupid question but what is meant by sleaving ?
-
#7so do you have to weld this to the mani ? or is the point of it to sleave ity and job done ? i have no idea about these things ha. thanks for your help
-
#8You screw the second lambda sensor (if you have one) into it and tie it out the way to read clean air
-
#9or do you put the sleeve on and just leave it ?
-
#10got your reply after i had posted that, thanks for that, big help
-
#11No problem mate
-
#12i have a 4-2-1 on my saxo , same problem as urs . just got a sleeve . and used the orther sensor in the mani . best of luck with it man
-
#13thanks a lot
big help

#14you dont have to have a sleave, it wont affect anything it will just put your engine light on, if your not bothered with that then just unplug it mate.
it wont affect the fueling or anything like that, the first sensor is the important one

#15Forget having a new light on, I'm like a rabbit, I stare at lights. Not safe. Can't leave my car, once I open my door and that map light comes on I have to
my battery goes flat then I have to charge my battery and the bastard thing comes back on again. Vicious circle :\ -
#16dont waste money on having it sleeved, even if it is only 50p...just tie it out the way and your sorted.
i never had any problems not sleeving mine.
